Our aim has always been to grow and provide the finest quality trees. As we walk through the crops we love to see the strong stems, good root structure and excellent color.
All the seeds we collect and use are from the Pacific Northwest from reputable seed producers. This way you can be assured that the tree or shrub you plant is going to be native to this area.
HOW DID WE GET IN THE BUSINESS
Mike has a degree in forest management and decided to try his hand at growing seedlings. We had a small chicken coop that quickly became a greenhouse and he planted several hundred seedlings. That year we grew and killed every tree we grew. Not to be undone we built a proper greenhouse and planted 25,000 trees. That was the beginning of the Fir Run Nursery and over the years we have had our successes and failures. We are still learning and growing new varieties and are always open to growing what our customers need. Recently we added Red Alder. For years we burned alder for firewood and now we are growing it and selling it to people who realize this is a good tree to plant because it can go to market in about 25 years, and its use is in good demand.
OUR GUARANTEE
We guarantee the nursery stock to be in good condition when it leaves the nursery. We are not responsible for damage in shipping or for handling and planting practices once you receive the trees. Shipping damages are the responsibility of the freight agent and any claims should be filed with them. If it is determined the trees are not as advertised, our liability is limited to the purchase price of the trees or replacement of the trees.
